Maritime Security: Indian Ocean

MRC have been working in partnership with a local organisation for the Seychelles flagged vessels since the beginning of 2009. The initial aim and now continuing model was to develop a series of maritime security teams that would accompany Seychelles flagged vessels on fishing operations from their base in Victoria (Mahe).

As quality and safety on this task have always been paramount all individuals engaged are required to undergo an enhanced vetting procedure beyond BS7858 standard requirements. MRC not only provided start up and ongoing recruitment support but some operational support though assisting with the development of SOPs and systems.

With effect from October 2012 we continue to provide a recruitment service to the Seychelles Shipping and Ports agency supporting the protection teams on a number of Tuna fishing vessels.
